Budget planner
Plan each month, bring in what you actually spent, and always know what is left.
Make your plan
- 1Pick a starting point, such as Home or Freelance, and enter what comes in each month.
- 2Every category gets a share of that income, so the plan adds up from the start. Tap any category to change its figure.
- 3For a month that is different, like school fees in September, tick Only for this month when you change the figure.
Bring in your spending
- 1Choose Import, then Bank statement and pick the PDF from your bank's app or website. Any bank works, and no bank login is needed.
- 2Check the preview: what is new, what is already in your budget, and what your rules will sort. Then add it.
- 3Importing the same statement again adds nothing twice. A CSV from a bank, card or spreadsheet works the same way, and you can add anything by hand.
Sort what needs a category
- 1Open Needs a category and choose where each payment belongs.
- 2Tap Always to make a rule: the word shown, such as uber, puts every payment that mentions it in that category from now on, including ones waiting now.
- 3Money moved between your own accounts goes in Moving between my accounts, which is kept but never counted.
Read your month
- 1Left to spend is what you planned to spend, minus everything that has gone, including payments without a category yet.
- 2The line on the bar is today. If spending is ahead of it, the month may run short; the daily figure shows what you can spend each day to stay on plan.
- 3Download a month as CSV from the button beside Add.
Good to know
- The Free plan keeps one budget and shows the last three months. Older months are kept, never deleted, and appear when you upgrade.
- The Free plan keeps ten rules. Paid plans keep as many as you like, and up to 5 or 20 budgets.
- Statement pages count against the bank statement converter's monthly allowance.
