Turn Word, Excel, PowerPoint and pictures into PDFs, several into one if you like, and PDFs into Word documents you can edit.
To PDF
- 1Choose To PDF, then Choose files, drop them on the page, or paste. They upload straight away. Take photos uses the camera: each photo becomes a page.
- 2Word (DOCX, DOC, ODT, RTF, TXT), Excel (XLSX, XLS, ODS, CSV), PowerPoint (PPTX, PPT, ODP), pictures and PDFs can be mixed.
- 3With more than one file, choose One PDF to put them together in the order shown, with a bookmark for each, or A PDF for each file. Move files with the arrows.
- 4Pictures go on A4 or Letter, turned sideways when they are wide, or on a page their own size.
- 5For spreadsheets, Each sheet on one page shrinks a wide or long sheet to fit instead of splitting it.
- 6Choose Make the PDF, then download it. Edit opens it in the PDF editor, to compress it, add a password or change words.
PDF to Word
- 1Choose PDF to Word and add one or more PDFs. Each becomes its own Word document.
- 2Lines are joined back into paragraphs, titles become headings, and tables, even ones with no lines around the cells, become Word tables. Pictures are kept where they were.
- 3Scanned pages are read with OCR on our own server, and the result says which pages to check.
- 4Fonts become standard ones, and pages with many boxes or columns may need some tidying. To change only a few words, the PDF editor is quicker.
Good to know
- Up to 30 files at a time; files count against your plan's monthly allowance once converted.
- Your uploads are deleted as soon as the conversion is done. On the free plan, the result is kept for a day.
- Files with a password cannot be converted: remove it in Word or Excel first, or open a PDF in the PDF editor, which removes it.
- Common fonts like Calibri, Arial and Times New Roman are swapped for fonts of the same size, so pages break in the same places. Unusual fonts are replaced by the nearest standard one.
