Courses
Run a course or training: a page to share, enrolment paid to you, lessons and live classes, progress for each student, and certificates anyone can check.
Build the course
- 1Give the course a title. It starts with one module; add more for each week or part.
- 2In each module, add lessons. A lesson can have written content, a video (a YouTube, Vimeo, Loom or Google Drive link, or a video in your ToolkitDeck Drive), a live session with your meeting link, and handouts from Drive or links.
- 3Move modules and lessons with the arrows. Give a module an opening date to release its lessons on that day.
- 4Tick Free preview on a lesson or two so visitors can try them from the course page.
Open it and share
- 1In Page and settings, write what the course is about and what students will be able to do, add a cover picture, the trainer and the start date.
- 2For a paid course, set the fee and how students pay you. They pay you directly; ToolkitDeck never takes or holds the money.
- 3Press Open for enrolment, then copy or share the link. Download the QR code for flyers and slides.
- 4Press Flyer for a ready-made picture with the title, price, start date, what students will learn and a QR code: a story for WhatsApp Status and Instagram, or a square post. Add one more line such as Only 30 seats.
Quizzes and assignments
- 1In a lesson, under Check their learning, choose A quiz. Write each question and its answers, and tick the right one (or several, for a question with more than one right answer).
- 2Set the pass mark and how many tries students get. Quizzes are marked for you; passing finishes the lesson. Students see the right answers and your explanations once they pass or run out of tries.
- 3Choose An assignment for work students hand in: writing, or a link to a Google Doc, Drive, Canva or anything online. It comes to To review, where you approve it or send it back with a note. Either way they get an email.
- 4In Students, open a student's progress to see quiz scores, live classes joined and their assignments. Fresh tries clears their tries at a quiz so they can take it again.
Students
- 1Students join with their name and email. On a free open course they are in at once; on a paid course, or one you approve, they wait until you let them in from Students.
- 2Each student gets an email with a link straight into their classroom. Later they sign in at toolkitdeck.com/learn with a code sent to their email. Nobody needs a password.
- 3Add students yourself by pasting names and emails, one a line.
- 4Students show their progress in Students. Use Announcements to email everyone; it also shows in their classroom.
Live classes
- 1Tick This is a live session on a lesson, set the time and paste your Zoom, Google Meet, Teams or YouTube Live link.
- 2Students see the time in the course's time zone and a Join button. The link is only given to enrolled students, and pressing Join counts as attending.
Certificates
- 1With certificates on, a student gets one, by email, when they finish every lesson. You can also award one yourself.
- 2Each certificate has a number, a QR code and a public page that says it is valid, with a button to add it to LinkedIn.
- 3Revoke a certificate from Students if it was issued by mistake. Its page then says it was revoked, with your reason.
Good to know
- The Free plan runs one course for up to 50 students. Paid plans run more courses for more students, and remove the ToolkitDeck mark from certificates.
- Up to five announcements a day per course.
- ToolkitDeck does not host live video: classes run on the meeting service you choose.
