Scan documents with your phone into a clean PDF or pictures, searchable and small enough for any upload form.

Scan pages

  1. 1Choose Take photos to use your phone's or laptop's camera in the page, or Choose photos, drop photos on the page, or paste one.
  2. 2In the camera, the page is outlined as soon as it is found. With Auto on, each page is taken once it holds still, so you can turn the pages and keep going; or press the round button (or Space). Done brings them all in.
  3. 3The light button turns on a phone's torch, and the arrows switch cameras. If the camera is blocked, allow it from the camera or lock icon in the address bar.
  4. 4Lay the page flat on a darker surface, in good light, so its edges show. The page is found in the photo and squared up for you.
  5. 5Tap a page to check it. Drag a corner to move it; a magnifier shows exactly where it lands. Find the page looks again, and Whole photo uses everything.
  6. 6Choose a look: Clean (white paper, colours kept), Black & white (crisp text, smallest files), Greyscale, or Original. Turn the page if it is sideways.
  7. 7Add more pages, and move them with the arrows. They are made in the order shown.

Make the file

  1. 1Choose One PDF, or Pictures for a JPEG per page.
  2. 2For a PDF, choose the paper, and turn on Searchable text to be able to search and copy the words.
  3. 3Set a size limit if a form gives one, such as Under 200 KB. For pictures, you can also ask for an exact size in pixels, like a passport photo.
  4. 4Make it, then download. Open in PDF editor lets you add text, sign or merge it with other files.

If you leave half way

  1. 1The pages you have taken are kept on this device until you make the file or start over, even if the browser closes the page while the camera is open.
