Notes and diary
Notes with checklists, tags and reminders, private or shared with your team, and a private diary: a page a day with a mood and a prompt, encrypted where it is kept and behind a passcode if you like.
Notes
- 1Press New note, or the arrow beside it for a template: meeting notes, a daily plan, a project log, a recipe or study notes.
- 2Write with headings, lists and checklists (the ticked-box button); everything saves as you type.
- 3Press the microphone in the toolbar to talk. Say comma, full stop, question mark or new paragraph for punctuation; a pause ends a sentence.
- 4Beside the note: move it to another notebook, add tags (separated with commas), pick a colour, pin it to the top, or set a time to be reminded. Due reminders show under Due.
- 5Search finds words in titles, notes and tags. Deleted notes wait in the Trash until you restore them or delete them for good.
Notebooks and your team
- 1New notebook in the side list makes one; open it to rename or delete it.
- 2On Pro, Share with my team lets everyone in the workspace read and add notes in that notebook. Your other notebooks and your diary stay private.
Your diary
- 1Diary, at the bottom of the side list, opens today's page. Choose how you feel, pick a prompt if you want one, and write. Earlier days are on the calendar, with a dot in the colour of that day's mood.
- 2On this day shows what you wrote on the same date in other years. Look back at my week gives a short, kind summary of the past seven days with AI, only when you press it (1 credit).
- 3Add a passcode (4 to 8 numbers) to hide the diary on shared devices; it opens for half an hour. Five wrong tries pause it for five minutes.
- 4Forgot the passcode? Confirm it's you and it is removed. Your pages are never lost.
- 5Diary pages are encrypted where they are stored, never shared with your team, and never shown to our staff.
Good to know
- Notes and the diary are free and unlimited. Shared notebooks come with Pro.
- Voice typing works in Chrome, Edge and Safari.
