Remove duplicates from a CSV, and keep the first of each
Contact lists, sign-up sheets and exports collect the same person twice, with a capital here and a space there. Open the file, choose what makes a row the same, and the repeats go, with the count shown first.

Remove duplicates opens ready, with the count shown before anything changes.
Whole rows or one column

Undo it
One step takes it back, and the file on your computer is never touched.
Questions people ask
Which copy is kept?
The first one in the file. Sort the table first if you want, say, the newest row kept.
Can I remove duplicates by email only?
Yes. In Remove duplicates, tick Email under Compare on.
What about Excel files?
Save the sheet as CSV first (File, Save as, CSV), then open it here. The result opens in Excel again.
