E-sign
Send a PDF for signature and get it back signed, with a certificate of who signed, when and from where.
Get it ready
- 1Choose a PDF: a contract, agreement, quote or form. If it has a password, save a copy without one first.
- 2Add each person who signs, with their email. Add myself puts you on the list too.
- 3Pick a signer and a kind of field, then tap the page where it goes. Every signer needs at least one signature field.
- 4Drag a field to move it and pull its corner to resize it. Select one and press Delete to remove it. Everything saves as you go.
Send it
- 1Choose Send for signing, add a note if you like, and choose how long the links work.
- 2Each signer gets their own private link by email. On paid plans you can ask them one at a time, in order.
- 3Once sent, the document and its fields cannot change. If something is wrong, void it and start again.
Signing
- 1Signers open their link on a phone or a computer. No account is needed.
- 2Next field takes them to each place to fill. They draw or type their signature once, and it fills their other signature fields.
- 3They tick the box to agree to sign electronically, then Finish and sign. The time, their IP address and browser are recorded as evidence.
- 4Anyone can decline with a reason, which stops signing and tells you.
When everyone has signed
- 1The signatures are stamped into the PDF and a certificate page is added with the full record.
- 2Everyone who signed gets the signed copy by email. You can download it any time from the document.
- 3Record intact means no entry in the record has been changed since it was made.
Templates
- 1Open a document you have sent and choose Save as template. Name each signer's role, like Tenant or Employee.
- 2Under Templates, tap Use, type each person's name and email, and send it. Every field lands where it was. Choose Check it first to look it over before it goes.
- 3A template with one signer can go to many people at once: paste a list of names and emails, and each gets their own copy to sign.
Good to know
- The Free plan sends 3 documents a month and keeps one template; drafts do not count. Paid plans send and keep as many as you need.
- Signing in order and automatic reminders every three days are on paid plans. You can remind signers yourself on any plan, once a day.
- Electronic signatures are recognised for most agreements in Nigeria, the UK, the US and the EU. Wills, land title transfers, court papers and some other documents still need ink, a witness or a notary.
